Two Runners, One Club: What Makes BCRC Special
This month I asked a new club member (Newbie) and a Seasoned club member a couple of questions. What I can gleam from this is we are doing some great things, everyone likes
something different and we have something for everyone. Our club fosters connections, community and gathering through running. It’s fun to share these!
1. What was your favorite “club run” this year 2026?
Newbie answer: Short Run: Rotolos (run, pizza, beer). Long Run: Copper to Frisco
Seasoned member: Lululemon run and discount shopping.
2. What do you think is the best thing you get out of a run club (in general)?
Newbie: Meeting new people and discovering new places to run.
Seasoned: Friendship, accountability
3. What surprised you about being a member of the BCRC?
Newbie: Club paying for drinks and food.
Seasoned: How fun it is!
4. What is something you would tell someone who has never joined a run club (but is thinking about it) about the BCRC?
Newbie: Same answer as 2.
Seasoned: Meet amazing like minded runners! Learn new trails, find out about running events and races, nutrition and gear tips, discounts to races and at “Peak Running” Store.
5. What is your favorite trail in Summit County to run? Bonus points if you name who you’d run it with…
Newbie: Peaks Trail with Jenny.
Seasoned: So many good trails out there. Perimeter Trail is always fun for everyone. I’d run with our amazing Prez! And Bill B.
We will have a few more runs/social in 2026, check back on schedule page and on our FB page.
